I rambled about that here, which boils down to INWARDLY NOT OKAY, outwardly pretending to be okay, but swiftly approaching limits of how much stress can be suppressed before something breaks. He's grateful Coral was okay, but feels powerless and helpless about the fates of the other teams (Sapphire dying was probably the worst thing for him since Sapphire is his favorite team too, sob). It's not as bad as it would have been had Coral overtly killed a team, or had Coral been seriously injured/killed during the game, but. He's still recovering from the darkness event, so it's all beginning to build to unsustainable levels, and the trauma game just added to that.
