Jaina seems pretty nice! THIS IS THE DEFAULT THOUGH, because Erika isn't the kind of person to outright hate anyone unless they are a super terrible person in everything that they do.

But she seemed really smart, put-together, helpful, honest ... basically just a lot of good things. :|a She totally wants to get to know Jaina better.

FRIENDLY AND CUTE LITTLE GIRL oh gosh this always makes Jaina a little protective. And by little, I mean that according to stats they're about the same height, but w/e w/e.

Jaina likes the kid. Marine is nice, and seems to be handling things with a level head...in that beams of sunshine kind of way. Assumes she's the Team Tiny and that she's generally going to have teammates being highly protective of her.

How do yours feel about their teams! |D

Tavros loves Ruby despite all the arguing they do as a group. He is very protective of them. Oz's death not too long ago and the trauma game kept dialing it up, so I think his protectiveness is at an all-time high right now! He will do anything for them, pretty much. Even though he doesn't completely understand the concept of family because trolls don't have family like humans do, Ruby is his family and he says that ICly when talking to other people.

For Erika, it's a bit of a trainwreck at the moment. Before, she was super fond of her team despite all the arguing that tends to happen. Now, with the game, she is angry! And upset! And there are a lot of feelings because Tsuruume and Effie put all of Heliodor's stones on Ruby. She actually abandoned ship for a night with Jet because she was so angry and upset with what happened. There are just a lot of feelings right now.

What does Jaina think of Iolite? Past what she told Erika. :|a

Yeah what she said encompasses her feelings, but obviously put diplomatically. She's willing to work with the other members as necessary, but generally prefers to identify as a Jedi that happens to wear Iolite purple these days, as most of the "Iolite's being Iolite" things aren't what she wants associated with (she'd like a unified team that isn't known for, say, trying to get the knights in games killed for no discernible reason, etc. etc. etc.). Which is in itself part of the "we're a bunch of individuals who happen to live together sometimes" aspect of the team, but she'd rather contribute to that than the other things.

Was there anything in particular that you think would be particularly interesting to explore with Tavros and Erika in an amnesia game?

Oh yes, definitely-- at least, with Tavros. Tavros is pretty much the guy that everything bad happens to. He's constantly beat down because he is very low on the blood color caste trolls have and has absolutely no self-esteem or self-confidence. What I wanted to do in Aather is give him a chance to be happy and have a chance at a much healthier version of his self-confidence and self-esteem than canon ever gave him.

As for Erika, I mostly just really wanted to play her, although admittedly it is interesting flopping around in trauma games like the last one we had with a character that's so ... lighthearted.

What about you with Jaina? Is there anything you really wanted to do with her in an amnesia game?

One of the biggest things for me is experimenting in taking this character who's been written and reinterpreted by dozens of different authors, return her to her base personality, and see how experience and memory regains have her character grow in a different way. Depending on who's writing her, she handles differently -- if Kevin J. Anderson is writing her, she's a tomboy engineer who's kind of pushy but everyone goes with it because she's the one stepping up to offer a course of action; if Elaine Cunningham is writing, Jaina's got identity issues trying to decide if she should be a scoundrel like her dad or a socialite like her mom but either way she's so passionate about engineering that we get urple prose about how Jaina's driven to handle each and every part in her starfighter...to other characterizations where authors drop her interest in engineering altogether and play up her drive to put herself in danger's path so others don't have to take it. And so on.

This remains a viable thing to explore. The other one was...

Twins Jaina and Jacen become genuine characters in the Young Jedi Knight series -- before they were just kids to have cute little shenanigans like get babysitting Chewbacca and Threepio lost in a worldcity trying to find their actively hiding charges -- and in YJK Jaina was a very friendly, forgiving, team-oriented person. As an adult, she hardens, isolates herself and thinks she has to stand and fight alone for the greater good. I was looking forward to the opportunity for Jaina to bond with a team and see if she'd find a balance between her team and friendship early characterization with the strength and drive of her adult characterization (and even started her out with a Team Pride memory toward that purpose).

...Whoops. XD

(When I apped, we also had Jacen and I was also interested in seeing how they would handle that eventually they become enemies and do their best to kill each other. That's kind of part of both of the above, though.)

Anything you might like our characters to do in the future? |D

Jaina and Marine should spend more time together, definitely. :|b I think they could have a pretty cute relationship, and Marine needs more adults in her life. |D

Is there anything you'd like our characters to do?

Jaina would love to quest for water heater parts with her and put it in the new cabin. Tinkering is totally a good hobby to chat with friends over.

Also it would amuse me if Erika pestered Jaina with fashion. XD

So I am not canon familiar! How would you pitch Erika's canon?

JAINA I MADE YOU A NEW OUTFIT :D :D :D she would even make it to fit with Jaina's hobbies so it would be fashionable and practical.

... Hmm... magical girls protect the hearts of others while literally punching out the bad guys with love and flowers. There are a lot of flowers. 8|a Precure style magical girls are very physical in how they fight and magic isn't something that happens too much.

Uhh, what are Jaina's impressions of Heliodor as a whole so far? If she knows more than just Tsuruume and Erika. 8|a Or even just from what she might've heard from other people.

If she's interacted with other Heliodors, I've forgotten...but others on her team agreed that Heliodor seems to be mostly friendly and cheerful.
